You can lend a hand by donating essential items for KZN relief, here’s how
Vuma’s ethos since the launch of our fibre to home business in 2014 has been – ‘because we can, we must’. That’s why we’re calling on as many South Africans as possible to come together as a community to help bolster ongoing relief efforts.
The recent heavy downpours across KwaZulu-Natal led to deadly floods that wreaked havoc throughout the province. Reports say at least 435 people have died across the region, with an unknown number of people still missing. The floods have damaged thousands of homes and have destroyed critical infrastructure, including roads, transportation, communication, and electrical systems.
RB Property Group and the Lady of Peace Foundation are spearheading a donation drive supported by Vuma to collect as much water, food, and school uniform for the countless flood victims in the province. These organisations have established drop off zones across Gauteng where you can donate these essential goods to help victims rebuild their lives.
If you would like to the contribute to the donation drive, you can drop off your goods at the following locations:
- Radio Veritas South Africa, 88, 8th Avenue, Edenvale, 1610
- Lady of Peace Foundation Head Office, 10 Mooney Cres, Irene View Estate, Centurion, 0062
- Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Rivonia Rd & North Road, Rivonia, Sandton, 2128
- Soweto Regina Mundi Catholic Church, 1, 149 Mkhize St, Soweto, Johannesburg, 1860
Vuma’s value extends beyond uncapped fibre internet. We also strive to empower people and communities throughout the country by coming together to help one another in devastating times.
